ATOMIC HOSTS FIRST SKI INDUSTRY CLIMATE SUMMIT TO UNITE MAJOR STAKEHOLDERS AND ADDRESS CLIMATE IMPACT

Salzburg, [August 10^th, 2023] – Atomic, leading manufacturer of ski equipment, is set to host the first Ski Industry Climate Summit, an international two-day congress with the aim to bring together key stakeholders and drive impactful change to address the urgent need for climate action. Supported by FESI (Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry) and Protect Our Winters (POW) the event will serve as a platform for collaboration on topics like common standards, circular systems and materials.

Scheduled for September 13^th and 14^th, 2023, in Salzburg, Austria the Ski Industry Climate Summit marks a significant milestone as the industry's major players gather under one roof for the first time. With more than 100 participants confirmed, including renowned brands such as Rossignol, Head, Salomon, Völkl, Burton, Niedecker, retailers like Decathlon, Sport Conrad, Blue Tomato, and organizations like the European Outdoor Group, Snowsports Industry Association, and many others, this event promises to shape the future of sustainable winter sports.

During the two-day congress, attendees will engage in informative presentations, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking panel talks. Together, they will address critical challenges faced by the ski industry, focusing on material standards and innovation, circular systems, measuring standards, and effective communication strategies. By fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing, the summit aims to drive tangible solutions to reduce the industry's carbon footprint.
