„I’m so grateful to have that community there — it really makes me complete as a person. I wouldn’t have a horizon if I didn’t have community. And without giving back, I don’t think I could be focused and motivated towards my personal growth and progression.“

From his unique upbringing in New Zealand to some of the best ski segments the freeride world has seen, the career of @weazydavis is as inspirational as it is impressive. With a heavy heart, we share the news of the passing of our friend, Mike Gardner, following an accident on the North Face of Jannu East.

Mike had a rare energy and a joyful, boundless spirit. Every interaction with him felt like a gift, and his love and passion for the mountains were truly infectious. His accomplishments on skis and on the mountains speak for themselves - he was the ultimate downhill mountaineer.

In his own words:
“I think that there’s a resonance of living, living your passions, and also going a good human and being respectful.”

Mike truly lived by these words, and his legacy will forever be a part of Atomic.

Our thoughts and love are with Mike’s family and friends.
