From World Cup to Park and Powder – Atomic introduces the Remedy 130 ski boot for freeskiers

(Altenmarkt, Austria, October 2025) Atomic is launching the Remedy 130, a ski boot designed for ambitious freeskiers looking for uncompromising power transmission, stability, and shock-absorbing performance in demanding freeski terrain. Backed by more than 60 years of World Cup experience and alpine racing success, the boot combines proven racing pedigree with the expertise of freeski athletes who have traditionally relied on Redster race boots for their precision and fit. Until now, those boots had to be heavily modified for off-piste use. With the Remedy 130, that same level of precision is now available in a freeski-specific setup and look, delivered straight from the factory.

Custom tweaks that used to be standard among freeski athletes are now built into a ready-to-ride boot. For years, many pro freeskiers have turned to Redster race boots for their precise fit, direct power transfer and high-speed stability when tackling big lines or progressive park features. But to stomp kickers and drops with confidence, those boots required serious modification.

The Remedy 130 is Atomic’s response to that demand. Based on the Redster TX and incorporating direct feedback from the Atomic freeski team, it combines World Cup-proven performance with the durability and shock absorption needed in the park, the backcountry and on heavy landings. The stylish “Butter” colorway also clearly sets it apart from the race world.

“This is the brand-new no-compromise, bomber charging boot. Stiff, damp, and bulletproof, this boot comes with me for ripping around the ski resort and skiing big lines, where I don’t need the option of touring. A much-improved fit for me compared to the beloved Redster Club Sport/STI it was based on. Gripwalk soles and a wider toe box are a couple of the highlights.”
Nick McNutt, Atomic freeski athlete

The boot’s torsion-resistant shell and progressive flex ensure direct power transmission and solid support. Atomic’s integrated ShockStopper technology features a shock-absorbing, more flexible boot board and a softer liner spoiler to smooth out heavy impacts and vibrations. A fully customizable Competition Elite liner locks the heel firmly in place, while the new Ankle Retention System with targeted lacing enhances ankle hold, creating a precise connection between foot, boot, and ski. This results in quick, responsive feedback and confident control, even when charging high-speed lines.

The boot’s GripWalk sole provides added traction and comfort on short hikes or longer approaches.

The Atomic Remedy 130 is built for skiers who ride with speed, power, and style – whether in the park, in the powder, on the Freeride World Tour or on the piste.
