OPENING UP NEW DIMENSIONS IN FREERIDE SKIING - The new Atomic Freeride Range

In a bold move to redefine the experience for freeriders of all styles, Atomic has revamped its entire freeski range for 2024/25, including members of the Maverick/Maven series, the Backland Freeride series and the iconic Bent family.

With the introduction of its new wider waist Maverick and Maven skis, Atomic takes the wildly successful North America-driven all-mountain series into the freeride realm. Launching January 2024 and developed with freeride athletes like Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and Craig Murray, the top-tier Maverick 115 CTI has already proven its capabilities on the Freeride World Tour. It’s a hard-charging all-terrain ski with progressive off-piste versatility and a lower-impact construction reducing material-based CO2 equivalent emissions by 24%.

Building on the momentum of the recently revamped narrower Backland touring skis, Atomic is set to relaunch its wider waist Backland FR series for the 2024/25 season. The completely redesigned line of freeride touring skis has been developed in collaboration with backcountry pros Amie Engerbretson, Chris Rubens, and Matthias Haunholder. Featuring a unique tip and ski profile, less fiberglass and more wood, the Backland FR skis marry a lightweight build for easy ascents with the powerful, yet soulful skiing performance sought by freeride tourers. By utilizing moremore wood, less fiberglass and less resin, the skis’ lower-impact design also reduces material-based CO2 equivalent emissions by 26%.

All with a lower-impact construction with less metal, fiberglass and resin and more recycled material to decrease the ski’s environmental footprint.
