Location ICM – International Congress Center Messe München

Share Solutions | Drive Progress | Enable Transformation

Welcome to the second edition of the Ski Industry Climate Summit, a two-day conference designed to foster and enhance collaboration among brands, suppliers, and retailers.

As climate change continues to challenge the winter sports industry, our collective commitment to transformative action has never been stronger. Brands across the industry are striving to minimize their environmental impact and undertake the essential changes that climate science demands. Atomic believes that, together, we can lead a mass movement to build a sustainable future for winter sports.

Every brand, supplier, and stakeholder has a responsibility to reduce their environmental footprint to operate within planetary boundaries. Collaboration is key to accelerating progress, enhancing effectiveness, and strengthening the business case for sustainable solutions. Whether it's reducing operational impacts, increasing transparency in material data, or advancing circular product lifecycles, sharing information and building partnerships can drive meaningful change across the industry.

This event is supported by Protect Our Winters, the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI), Wintersports Sustainability Network (WSN), and ISPO Munich. All participants of the Ski Industry Climate Summit, along with those who have recently signed the Climate Pact of the WSN, are critical to turning our commitment into real, impactful action.

Agenda

The agenda for our two-day summit is designed to address the most pressing challenges facing the hardgoods ski industry. By gathering expertise, sharing insights, and identifying common actions, we aim to turn collaboration into concrete progress.

Our last summit revealed a strong interest in collaboration across brands, suppliers, retailers, and organizations. Now it’s time to turn that interest into action. With tailored sessions for each stakeholder group, we will focus on the following key themes:

State of the Industry
Updates on current developments, both on and off the slopes.

Legislation and Compliance
Learn about the latest laws and regulations in the making, including ESPR, CSRD, and Green Claims, and how they will impact your business.

Supply Chain
Explore sustainability data, alternative materials, and strategies to reduce the environmental footprint of your material suppliers.

Sourcing
Find solutions to minimize the environmental impact of third-party producers of hardgoods such as helmets, goggles, and poles.

Recycling and Circular Economy
Discover circular initiatives, logistics, and best practices for recycling processes and systems, along with opportunities for collaboration.

Clean Energy Procurement
Learn how to source renewable and low-carbon energy—such as solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal—for your operations and those of your supply chain partners.

Consumer Engagement
Develop effective consumer-facing communications that promote transparency and environmental responsibility.

Impact Measurement
Understand how to measure and track corporate carbon footprints, including product carbon footprint (PCF) and life cycle assessments (LCAs), using the most reliable methodologies and tools for future compliance.

Together, we have the power to turn commitment into action. Let’s lead the charge toward a sustainable future for winter sports.
