HAWX ULTRA XTD – THE ULTIMATE ALL-MOUNTAIN CROSSOVER BOOT
Hawx has been one of the world’s bestselling ski boot series for years. For the 2023-24 season, Atomic presents the next generation of its narrow Hawx Ultra XTD line renowned for blurring the line between all-mountain skiing and freeride touring. Featuring notable material and technical updates, the top-end Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 130 and Hawx Ultra XTD 115 W each are equipped with the BOA® Fit System that securely wraps the foot for an even more comfortable and precise fit. Both are perfect crossover boots combining the legendary feel and all-mountain skiing power of Hawx with best-in-class touring walkability.

All-mountain skiing does not end where the trail ends. Serious all-mountain skiers are keen on exploring the whole mountain – skiing every run at the resort and going beyond the boundaries for fresh snow and more adventurous skiing. So they need equipment that allows them to do all: rip on and off-piste and access the sidecountry and backcountry.
HAWX ULTRA XTD GEN 2 – THE PERFECT CROSSOVER BOOT
As the interface between skier and snow and the critical link to fit, comfort, and performance, ski boots play an essential role in any all-mountain setup. That’s why Atomic created the Hawx XTD line a few years back, with the narrow last Hawx Ultra XTD now going into its 2ndgeneration. It features notable material and technical updates like an enhanced Prolite construction, a new Free/Lock mechanism, and a radically innovative alternative to the traditional 4-buckle closure with the top-of-the-line models powered by the BOA® Fit System. Available as a women’s and a men’s version with flex options ranging from 95 to 130, the new Hawx Ultra XTD is the ultimate all-mountain crossover boot, delivering the best of alpine skiing performance and fit with efficient range of movement for walking.
HAWX: BOOTS THAT FIT
Boots that fit make for a better overall skiing experience, so fit has been the buzzword across all Atomic boot ranges for years. Being part of the bestselling Hawx family with its legendary Hawx feel, the original Hawx Ultra XTD has provided a great first fit for narrow-shaped feet since its launch in 2018. In 2021 the revolutionary Mimic liner was introduced, taking custom fitting to a new level by exactly shaping to the foot for a supreme individual fit.
DIALED-IN FIT AND PERFORMANCE WITH THE BOA® FIT SYSTEM
Now Atomic takes the next step in fit optimization with the integration of the BOA® Fit System into the Hawx Ultra XTD line-up. The innovative system consists of three parts that are integrated into the boot shell: a micro-adjustable dial for multidirectional tightening and loosening, a super-strong lightweight stainless steel cable, and heavy-duty low friction lace guides. BOA®‘s H+i1 platform provides greatly improved shell wrapping which translates to a more comfortable and precise fit. In addition, the BOA® Fit System allows skiers to close the boot smoothly and it is easy to fine-tune with bi-directional micro adjustments for a more relaxed fit uphill or a tighter fit downhill – even when wearing gloves or with cold fingers.
TOP-OF-THE-LINE: HAWX ULTRA XTD BOA 130
On top of the line-up, the new Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD BOA 130 is the ultimate narrow-fit all-mountain crossover boot. Based on a 98mm last and designed for adventurous skiers looking beyond resort boundaries, it combines an alpine boot fit and performance with the functionality of a freeride touring boot. Featuring the next-generation Prolite construction, it is lightweight (1.800 g) yet 25% more stable than its predecessor with added reinforcement in critical zones on cuff and shell – for supremely powerful skiing. With 54° cuff rotation the updated Free/Lock 4.5 ski/walk mechanism allows for an efficient range of movement uphill. Full rubber GripWalk soles compatible with a wide range of alpine and touring bindings provide traction in any terrain. Atomic’s revolutionary Mimic liner technology sets new standards for custom fit and comfort. Also available as a traditional 4-buckle boot, this top-end version is powered by the BOA® Fit System that securely wraps the foot for an ultra-precise fit and unmatched heel hold to boost skiing performance. A do-it-all ski boot combining the legendary feel and all-mountain skiing power of Hawx with best-in-class touring walkability for the piste, the sidecountry, and backcountry.
