Press release -

ATOMIC BRINGS WORLD CUP PROVEN PERFORMANCE TO MARKET WITH NEW REDSTER LINE

FROM THE RACETRACK TO THE PISTE

With an official launch on the Atomic Media Day, October 7th, Atomic presents an entirely new Redster ski line for the 2021-22 season. The series’ top models feature the race-proven Revoshock technology, allowing for more running stability and more intense acceleration. Revoshock utilizes several spring steel modules on impact-absorbing elastomers that act as a suspension system and reduce vibrations. This improves stability at high speeds, which leads to more self-confidence and an unmatched skiing experience. With Atomic drawing on decades of experience in ski development, ambitious skiers benefit from this knowledge and their collaboration with the world’s best athletes.

REVOSHOCK TECHNOLOGY.

When it comes to innovative technologies that often make the difference between victory and defeat, Atomic regularly sets the tone. Revoshock is the latest innovation in that tradition. Initially developed for World Cup skis, it is now available to ambitious skiers worldwide within the brand-new Redster lineup. The technology utilizes a series of spring steel modules placed on top of impact-absorbing elastomers. This built-in suspension system for skis absorbs distracting shocks and vibrations before they reach your feet. The advantage over other damping systems is Revoshock’s ability to not only reduce shocks and vibrations, but to rebound them. From the ski tip to the binding plate, each spring steel module works in harmony to turn otherwise wasted energy into valuable acceleration. The result is a ski that is both stable at speed and agile in turns. This year’s Redster line features several skis equipped with Revoshock and other Redster technologies, with the highlight being the new Redster G9 Revoshock. It is aimed at skiers who look for the performance and engineering of Atomic World Cup equipment in an everyday ski.

THE SKI

The Atomic Redster G9 Revoshock (Giant Slalom) – just like the S9 Revoshock (Slalom) – uses World Cup technology, and you can feel its racing roots in every fast, wide radius turn. Thanks to the new Revoshock technology, the ski runs smoothly even on icy slopes early in the morning, and it accelerates out of every turn. Its Ultrawall sidewall construction combines the power transmission of a continuous sidewall with the robustness of the Dura Cap construction. A two-layer Titanium Powered laminate ensures high torsional rigidity and, in combination with the Power Woodcore made of ash and poplar, guarantees exceptional edge grip from the beginning of the turn to the end.

THE PROOF

Atomic has a rich history and a ton of experience building competition-proven ski equipment to go fast, from the earliest days of alpine racing to their long and intensive partnership with the world’s best athletes. Technological innovation has always gone hand in hand with World Cup victories – and the success story continues. In the 2020 Sölden GS, youngster Lucas Braathen already claimed a World Cup victory using a black-boxed version of Redster G9 Revo. And the other Redster athletes, too, count on the improved skiability of the new Redster G9 Revoshock.

ATHLETE QUOTES

Mikaela Shiffrin

“The Redster G9 Revoshock provides the perfect combination of control, stability, and acceleration. These are the main things I need from a ski to perform on the biggest stage.

Sofia Goggia

“Redster Revoshock helps me stabilize the ski during the entire turn and pushes me forward into the next one. It does that by reducing vibration and increasing stability. :)”

Marco Schwarz

“Even if the course conditions are not 100% perfect, thanks to the new Redster G9 Revoshock, I can push through my turns fully because the system absorbs impacts so well!”

Aleksander A. Kilde

“With the new Revoshock system, I feel like the stability of the ski has improved a lot, which makes it easier for me to ski the line I want. “
