ATOMIC MAVERICK & MAVEN: NEW ALL-MOUNTAIN SKIS FOR SKIERS BY SKIERS

Atomic introduces its new all-mountain ski series for the 2021/2022 season: Maverick (men’s) and Maven (women’s). Developed and fine-tuned through extensive testing across North America and Europe, they deliver an epic skiing experience in variable conditions across all terrain types. From California to Quebec, British Columbia to Austria, the Maverick and Maven skis have proven their skills with skiers from a wide variety of backgrounds. Available in widths from 86 to 100mm, they can handle pretty much any condition on any mountain in the world.

THE TECH

Focusing on versatility, Atomic has designed a ski range that perfectly integrates existing and new technologies. New features include the OMatic (scrambled Atomic) core construction and the versatile Atomic Flow Profile. The OMatic core consists of a combination of titanium and fiberglass layers in the Maverick and a carbon fiber inlay in the Maven. Both models feature a poplar wood core that keeps weight down and produces responsiveness and optimal performance. This approach to core construction blends the best of stiffness and flex throughout the length of the ski. The flex is complemented by Atomic’s Flow Profile. This rocker/camber/rocker silhouette combines with Atomic’s proven HRZN Tech early-taper tips to make turn initiation more intuitive anywhere on the mountain. The camber underfoot aims to allow skiers to attack turns with the same conviction on piste or off.

THE TESTING

Atomic has gone to great lengths to completely align the concept for Maverick and Maven with the needs of all mountain skiers, employing feedback from over 60 testers during an intercontinental test tour and analyzing the data of more than 145 prototypes before honing the final production design. The result of this extensive development work are two new skis that will suit most skiers in most conditions. Skis that make the idea of a one-ski quiver a very attainable reality.

Available in widths ranging from 86mm underfoot to 100mm for the Maverick and 86mm to 93mm for the Maven, Atomic is introducing skis that have been co-developed by the folks that will actually ski them. The Maverick and Maven are the right skis for the job in almost any situation, made to ski equally well carving up groomers or slashing through the trees and open bowls.
